AMPIN Energy Transition announced the strengthening of the cooperation with the Varroc Group by obtaining a new solar project in Maharashtra with capacity of 27-Megawatt Peak (MWp). This was after the completion of earlier solar projects in Maharashtra and the other states of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, cementing the mutual trust of both parties in rolling out renewable energy solutions.
This new power purchase agreement (PPA) allows Varroc Group to have over 60 MWp of solar capacity contracted to AMPIN. This addition is anticipated to help lower the firm’s plant energy expenses by about 45% in its plants based in Maharashtra and also help in the achievements of its sustainability targets. This project is expected to help Varroc achieve about 70% of clean energy to run its operations.
The solar project installation by AMPIN with a capacity of 27 MWp complements Varroc’s effort of conserving the environment as this particular solar installation will help mitigate the emission of carbon dioxide by around 35,500 tons per annum. This is consistent with the company’s approach of looking for less harmful alternatives and minimizing its carbon footprint.
The project will also be useful in supporting the wider objectives in the generation of renewable energy in the state of Maharashtra with the view of enhancing the state’s clean energy sources in the energy mix. Alongside the development of the state-of-the-art Solar Park in the state of Maharashtra, AMPIN is positioning itself as a formidable company in solar energy and renewable energy in the region, catering efficient and effective solar energy solutions for its widening customer base.
Through the new PPA, AMPIN Energy not only builds upon its partnership with the Varroc Group but also emphasizes its commitment towards being a key contributor in India’s clean energy revolution, showcasing the optimistic trends continuing in the solar sector in the nation.
